As is typical on these projects, the post-production coordinator, producer, and director were often monitoring and directing remotely from multiple locations worldwide—listening to a direct feed from the booth, communicating with the actor in real time, and (when required) seeing the talent during takes via video and the video feed to check sync during playback of best takes.
We’ve been having great results using Zoom for this which is nice because in the past only Skype produced reliable results due to Internet filtering in China which makes source connect very unstable. Here are some details on the shows we can share:
The Season (Hulu) — ADR Recording

(Show poster not yet available)
We recorded ADR in Beijing for The Season (featuring the talented Celina Jade from Wolf Warrior), supporting the editorial team with performance-matched pickups and alternate versions of key takes.
At the time of writing, this is not yet released on Hulu, so we’re linking to show references below.
Nike Training Club (Netflix) — ADR / Synced Dubbing

For Nike Training Club on Netflix, we supported dialogue/VO workflows that include casting similar talent to the athletes and prioritize consistency of tone, intelligibility, and timing across deliverables.
Direction was handled remotely, with notes addressed immediately during sessions to keep pacing and delivery consistent and deal with timing issues for the most natural result possible across episodes, with fast iteration when matching picture and pacing.
Surfside Girls (Apple TV+)

On Surfside Girls, ADR covered standard dialogue replacement and pickups. Sessions required consistent mic setups to location shots for controlled continuity, and video feed was provided so production could check sync quickly and compare best takes.
Fired on Mars (HBO Max) — ADR for Animation

Fired on Mars brought the usual animated-series constraints: tighter performance continuity across editorial versions, ADR was central rather than corrective as the director wanted the actor Al Di to do some additional improvisation for comedic effect. Remote direction was especially useful here to get multiple options to later edit for the best final result!
